Lily groups

Asiatic (June, unscented, brightest colours, easiest), Oriental (August, hugely fragrant — 'Stargazer', 'Casa Blanca'), Trumpet (tall, scented), and species lilies (smaller, woodland feel — L. martagon, L. regale).

For pots, choose Asiatics and shorter Orientals — taller types blow over.
