Water containers twice daily in heat
July in London can bring warm, dry spells that rapidly deplete moisture in pots. Water early morning and again in the evening, checking that water drains through; containers may need 2–3 litres per day in peak heat.
Feed tomatoes and peppers weekly
Fruiting crops in containers need high-potassium liquid feed (tomato food) once a week now that they're flowering and setting fruit in London's long daylight. Dilute to half-strength if plants show any leaf scorch.
